About Geophysica

Geophysica has been published by the Geophysical Society of Finland since 1935. The journal is open to anyone who wishes to contribute an original scientific paper. Research papers, review articles, notes and short communications on all geophysical subjects can be accepted after a review process. Emphasis is given to papers concerning geophysics in Northern Europe and articles relevant to Finland. The journal is published in English.

Geophysica is currently in the process of becoming an Open Access journal listed in international publication databases. The goal is to publish all articles online as PDF documents. This requires acquiring permissions from the copyright owners to publish the articles online. Because all copyright owners have not yet replied, some articles will remain unavailable.

Some online articles may include appendices not available in the printed journal. These can be found after the reference section of the online PDF file.
